Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Crowd Control

  • Ensure guest safety
  • Prevent and resolve altercations among guests
  • Deal with disruptive guests and, if necessary, see that they leave the premises
  • Lead guests and other Team Members in emergency evacuation procedures and provide assistance
  • Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through your work area throughout shift

Security

  • Check identification of all guests who do not appear to be of legal drinking age (must have ID books from all states)
  • Prevent guests without proper identification from entering the premises
  • Enforce House policy regarding photos/videos/recording devices
  • Safeguard against theft
  • Communicate with artists regarding needs and/or requests
  • Protect the privacy of artists
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of stanchions and barriers, including the lifting/moving of stanchions and barriers up to 150 lbs.

Communications

  • Maintain necessary communications with all departments
  • Communicate with radios (all Security staff and management should remain in constant contact throughout shift)
  • Communicate with penlights and hand signals as necessary

Maintaining Housekeeping

  • Set up before opening (stanchions, table configuring, etc.)
  • Keep walkways clear and safe, cleaning spills and removing food, trash or other obstacles
  • Maintain line of sight
  • Opening, closing and running duties completed
  • Maintain Gas Monkey Bar N Grill safety and sanitation standards
  • Assist Other Team Members, As Needed

 

Requirements

POSITION REQUIRES:

1.  WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF:  Proper forms of identification

2.  ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE OF:  Crowd control, responsible alcohol service, restaurant/retail operations

3.  SKILL IN:  Interpersonal communication, diffusing possibly volatile situations with tact, recognizing potential security problems before they happen & acting on them  

4.  ABILITY TO: Work late hours, prioritize, engage guests in a positive dialogue & make them feel happy to be in the bar.

5.  SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, PROFESSIONAL, ETC.) Alcohol Trainng Certification
